Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 May 2026 · Effective from app launch

These Terms govern your use of the Vaccio mobile app, the partner portal at portal.vaccio.io, and any other Vaccio service. By creating an account or using any of these services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1 · About Vaccio

Vaccio is operated by Vaccio, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (collectively "Vaccio," "we," "us," or "our"). Vaccio provides a mobile and web platform that lets families digitise, organise, and share their vaccination records with institutions ("partners").

We are not a healthcare provider. We do not generate, validate, or alter your medical records — we store them at your direction and let you share them with parties you choose.

2 · Your account

To use Vaccio you need to create an account using a valid email address (and optionally a phone number). You agree that:

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → "Delete account & all data"). See the Privacy Policy for what happens when you do.

3 · Acceptable use

When you use Vaccio you agree NOT to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, and we may report serious misuse to relevant authorities.

4 · Your records and shares

You own your records. We're a custodian — we store them at your direction, in the form you put them in. We do not modify them, we do not delete them without your explicit action, and we do not transfer them to anyone unless you explicitly approve the share.

When you approve a partner's access request, you authorise us to deliver a copy of the relevant family member's record to that partner for the duration of the share (default 30 days, revocable any time). Once a partner has viewed your records, we cannot prevent them from retaining copies in their own systems — the partner's own retention policies apply at that point.

What "approving a share" actually does: the partner gains read access to the records that exist on your Vaccio wallet at the moment they look. Future records you add are also visible until the share is revoked or expires.

5 · Partner-specific terms

If you are a school, clinic, insurer, government body, or other institution using the Vaccio partner portal, additional terms apply:

If your institution is large enough to need a separate Data Processing Agreement, contact us at hello@vaccio.io.

6 · Fees and billing

Vaccio does not charge consumer fees through the app. The app does not sell subscriptions, in-app purchases, advertising, or any other paid digital content to families.

Vaccio operates a B2B partner model. Institutional subscribers (schools, clinics, insurers, employers, and government bodies) enter into a separate Vaccio Partner Agreement that sets out the fees applicable to their use of the Vaccio Partner platform. Those fees are agreed privately with each partner at onboarding, billed by invoice, and are not displayed in the family-facing app or on this site. Partners may, at their sole discretion, choose to recover their subscription costs from the families they serve through their own admissions, enrolment, or clinic billing arrangements — any such arrangement is between the partner and the family and is not a Vaccio transaction.

If the partner fee structure changes, existing active partner contracts are honoured at their agreed rate for the remainder of their term, and any change applies prospectively to renewals only.

7 · Not medical advice

Important: Vaccio is a record-keeping and sharing tool. It is not a medical service, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for professional medical advice. Compliance checks (e.g. "this child has all required UAE national immunisations") are informational only and reflect the rules as published by the relevant authorities at the time of the check — they are not a clearance certificate. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions, vaccination schedules, contraindications, and travel-medicine planning.

8 · Intellectual property

Vaccio, the Vaccio logo, the "Vaccio ID" naming, and all software, designs, and content we produce are owned by Vaccio. You do not gain any ownership rights in our software or branding by using the service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our software except as permitted by these Terms.

You retain full ownership of the vaccination records, identity documents, and personal information you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, time-limited licence to store, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service to you.

9 · Suspension and termination

You may stop using Vaccio at any time. To remove your data, delete your account from inside the app.

We may suspend or terminate your account, with notice where reasonable, if:

If we terminate your account, we'll give you a reasonable opportunity to export your records first, unless doing so would prejudice an investigation or law-enforcement matter.

10 · Liability and warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11 · Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you inside the app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms; if you don't agree, delete your account before that date.

12 · Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, specifically the laws applicable in the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE — except where applicable consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, in which case you may do so.
